Dr. Tony Dugbartey

Victoria, BC.

Dr. Dugbartey holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with neuropsychology specialization from the University of Victoria, having completed residency at the Toronto Hospitals (General and Western), Ontario. He completed postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, WA. He is a psychologist in British Columbia (CHCPBC# 1255).

Dr. Dugbartey currently provides various psychological assessment services with persons ranging in age from late adolescence through older adulthood. He also provides psychological therapy services with adults.

Will insurance cover your services?

Psychological services are not covered under the BC government’s health insurance program, Medical Services Plan (MSP). Several extended health insurance plans cover part, or full, complement of Dr. Dugbartey’s psychological services. Do discuss your options with Dr. Dugbartey, because there several other non-insurance options (such as employee and family assistance benefits plans, etc.) which may help with your fees.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Secure online payment and credit/debit card processing payments are available with receipts for reimbursement purposes are available for your convenience. You may be eligible for tax reductions for certain psychological services, but discuss this with your accountant.

What may I expect during my first session?

An orientation session, including discussing your fit with Dr. Dugbartey and the services he offers. Ask any questions! Do not feel pressured to agree to anything. If, however you know what you want and it falls within my area of expertise, we may agree to get started right away. No professional service starts unless your fully informed consent is obtained. The initial session may be as long or as brief as you require.

Where is your office located?

My office is on the corner of Fort and Foul Bay Road in beautiful Victoria. Sorry, no drop-in visits are available.

How do you protect my privacy and ensure confidentiality?

Dr. Dugbartey is privacy officer for NeuroBehavioral Specialists Inc. He is available to discuss this clinic’s privacy policy, and also answer your questions about the specific steps NeuroBehavioral Specialists Inc takes to protect your privacy under provincial and federal statutes and laws.
